I've seen a shirt like that but it was nineline-branded, and I assume more reflective of Qanon/SOUND OF FREEDOM conspiracy bullshit than anything to do with the left.

Buying a new TV is so confusing and stressful! I had to let go of the ideal of getting the best for my money, and settled for better than my old TV in ways I could understand and appreciate.

Would be really curious to see some of the stats these people are looking at when it comes to customers opting out, not opting in, declining to activate, deactivating, uninstalling, rolling back updates, inquiring how to do any of those things… I bet it looks very grim to them from that perspective.

Well, one thing she can never say, that she hasn't been told. If your vote for Hitler leads to Auschwitz, you can't just brush the ash off your sleeve. Every institution failed to hold Trump accountable, but I am holding a few of his supporters accountable. Someone is paying a price for his crimes.

To illustrate, the first screenshot here is part of an email I sent on that thread, and the second is one of her replies. Just zero engagement with anything I said and zero responsibility for the consequences of her vote.

Just to reiterate, because you and Dad voted for Trump, things are not okay between us and might never be again. Obviously I was very drunk when I called the other night, and I don't recall much of what I said, but I still have a vivid sense of the rage and disgust I expressed, and those feelings are very real and sincere.

If you two want to have a relationship with me going forward, you need to understand why I think your votes for Trump were so loathesome and shameful. Basically, history gave you a chance to answer the question, "Would you have voted for Hitler?" And you two answered, "Yes!!" This piece of shit Trump you revere so much is:

a racist who encourages racism in his followers, who include Nazis, white supremacists (the Proud Boys), and Neo-Confederates
a fascist who encourages violence in his followers and believes he is above the law
a racist and fascist who separated hundreds of immigrant children from their parents and put them (the children!) into literal cages in literal concentration camps, just like the Nazis
a rapist and sexual predator who bragged on camera about grabbing women "by the pussy" and used to host teen beauty pageants specifically for the purpose of walking in on the contestants when they were naked in their dressing rooms
absolutely corrupt to the core. He holds official events at properties he owns, and charges taxpayers at exorbitant rates. He vastly overcharges the Secret Service to protect Trump Tower, and to rent golf carts whenever he is at one of his golf properties. He accepts bribes from foreign governments in the form of overpriced leases at his properties.
a narcissist who views every crisis through the lens of reality TV. When he wrongly claimed that a hurricane threatened Alabama, he didn't admit the error, but drew on a weather-service map with a marker to make it look like he was right. He knew at the beginning that the covid pandemic would be terrible, but downplayed it for the stock market…

Yes I understand what you're saying. We're living in the most
stressful time ever. I'm stressed out and have to work at keeping
calm and these are the things I do....I go outside and get away from
the news and watch nature and enjoy my birds, etc. I pray and turn
things over to God. I get out of Baxley even if it's just to go to a
market in another town. We eat out in restaurants where we think it's
safe. It is a very hard thing to stay calm in these very hard times.
I'm worried that you've mentioned hurting yourself and others. This
is very dangerous and will take you away from your precious
Butterbean. I know you don't want that. So what can you do to calm
yourself down? If you have vacation time, I'd take it now and remove
yourself from the stress of working in a dangerous environment. Then
go to the river or Forseyth Park and get away from social networks.
They are just going to get worse for awhile. Again I understand what
you're saying. Most of all I know you love Dad and myself and that
you would never say such things to us if you weren't at the end of
yourself. I also don't like politicians and their choices....they
affect everything in our lives with their decisions. Most times I
don't like either candidate but feel I need to try to make the best
choice I'm offered. Both sides have made hurtful and disastrous
decisions that I would never have made in a thousand years. Then we
get to vote them out...but the other side might make different
disastrous decisions. As we go through life we are responsible to
make the best decisions we can....to live each day the best we
can...to help others and not hurt them. I feel I've tried to do this.
I hope you'll be able to forgive me for my wrong decisions. I do
understand what you're saying. And most of all....I LOVE YOU!

My mom keeps trying to reestablish contact and I keep blocking and deleting every effort, never with any reply. Most recently, she had the gall to leave a message on Butterbean's obituary. Needless to say, I scrubbed that shit the moment I saw it.

It isn't true that nobody suffered a consequence over that day. I lost my whole family and they lost a son and brother. I couldn't punish Trump or those maniacs on my screen, but I could punish the MAGAts in my life, and I did. I've been as good as my word ever since.…
