This country has degenerated so much that what used to be the hidden reason for going to war is now the cover. Going to war for their oil would be insanely stupid, this is about looking tough, bad polls, and being so mentally soft that Marco Rubio can talk you into starting a really stupid war.
I don't think "oil" is a sufficient explanation for what's going on. Rubio being a neocon when it comes to Latin America feels more important.
