VAN HOLLEN: You suggested Alex Pretti was culpable for his own killing because he had a gun he was licensed to carry. Would you like to retract that statement?

BESSENT: I would not. Would you like to express remorse over the death of Ashli Babbitt here in the Capitol?

Epstein's sex trafficking conviction was three years earlier
Yale prof David Gelernter defends his letter urging Epstein to hire "v small goodlooking blonde" student by saying that he was "keep[ing] the potential boss's habits in mind."

This creep shouldn't be allowed anywhere near students.

how dare the President defile the proud tradition of the National Prayer Breakfast, which is pretty much this except people say Judeo-Christian a little more often
Trump at National Prayer Breakfast: "They rigged the second election. I had to win it. I needed it for my own ego. I would've had a bad ego for the rest of my life. Now I really have a big ego. Beating these lunatics was incredible ... The first time they said I didn't win the popular vote. I did"

Yes, the question everyone is asking about your chummy emails with Jeffrey Epstein is why you didn't give him a feature profile in the New York Times

Until I can be sure that nobody does anything I find even the slightest bit distasteful with money, I think we have to keep consigning people to poverty, sorry
"By the end of the two-year period, 94% of participants reported they were housed."

A million pilot programs show the same thing: when people are given enough money to afford housing, homelessness ends.

Other supports matter, but housing comes first. Not policing. Not moralizing. Homes.

NEW: Abigail Spanberger this afternoon ordered that all state agencies leave ICE's 287(g) program.

This means that the state police (and some other agencies) will no longer be empowered to detain and arrest people for ICE.

Big, big move by the governor within weeks of coming into office.
