The part of the lockdowns that was the closest to the war was when information was so scarce everyone was just making it up on the spot to sound clever

They are in fact concentration camps in the original usage of camps for concentrating a civilian population for control or collective punishment or to facilitate deportation or population transfer.

I think a lot of cis people think of transness as like… a fashion choice or hobby. They don’t really grasp what keeping the closet locked/detransition means. They view it as equivalent to being forced to stop being a goth or quit collecting model trains.
Yeah - honestly, I think it's true of most partisans, too. Like a LOT of people really do not think about the issues very much.

Kinda hard to "roll right through" Britain when the Channel is in the way, which was the primary reason we didn't suffer the same fate as France, not because of our resolve or whatever
If WW2 happened today we'd be so busy arguing on the internet over whether the government was trying to control us with blackout and rations that the Germans would just roll right through us in hours

what if this grand strategy map game was actually a visual novel: the hearts of iron iv: the new order story.
The thing about the classic "game that starts as a walking sim about exploring a cave, then a Shocking Discovery establishes the real genre" conceit is there's no limit on what that real genre can be. "Dungeon crawler" is traditional, of course, but there's no rule that it can't be "shop simulator".
