One of the best $20 a bottle wines I’ve ever had.

Of course it helped that I hung onto it for 25 years, but OMG.

Am pleased to have shared it with @robertmarc.bsky.social and @anntorrence.bsky.social tonight.

RIP to The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (1967-2026).

My entire childhood was filled with bumpers like this, following shows that helped mold and shape me into the human I am today.

I will never forgive this administration for their sins against America.

This is just one of many.
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funded NPR, PBS and hundreds of local radio and TV stations across the U.S. for more than a half-century, said on Monday that its board of directors had voted to dissolve the organization because Congress cut off its federal money.
Corporation for Public Broadcasting Votes to Shut Down
Executives debated whether to allow the corporation to lie dormant after federal funding ended last year, but decided against it.

It’s hard to express what a feeling of relief it is to move out of Utah.

There is an oppressiveness about the place that derives from the monolithic thinking of leadership in the state which does not reflect the demographics.

It’s also a weirdly angry place with lots of passive aggression.
Utah commissioned it's department of health to do a systematic review of gender affirming care for trans youth. In a 1000 page plus report found it was beneficial and the evidence was substantial. The lawmakers rejected it anyways.

Was admiring a Triumph TR-6 last weekend when the owner came up to talk. He was a HUGE fan of Musk and wanted to know what I thought of him.

Me: He’s a monster.

Man: What?

Me: He’s a monster.

Man: You are not a fan?

Me: Monster.

Man: But he’s so successful.

Me: He is a failed human being.
Some dorkwad told me I was jealous of Elon Musk because he is the “most successful person on the planet”.

I responded that I have one very important thing that Elon Musk will never have:

Enough.

Tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.

I’m proud of the work we did on the House January 6th Committee.

January 6th should’ve been the end of a political movement based on a cult of personality, conspiracism, extremism & lies. Instead, it is now in power.

It is both the only moral choice and will actually get the attention of these dead-eyed clout demons.

More encouragement:

This study challenges the claim that the only or best way to learn a language is by moving abroad.

They saw a greater increase in fluidity after an intensive domestic immersion (IM) program than after study abroad (SA).

So it's more about focus & intent than location📍 alone.

The crazy thing about the situation Americans are in is that it literally takes 4 people in the House and 20 people in the Senate to say “impeachment.” 24 people. That’s all it takes to end this for 330 million.
And the worst part? Many of those 24 already agree in their hearts this should happen.

We were just talking about this.

Nobody from big oil has said anything yet. Are they in on this? Did they consult? Are they now just finding out? Are they complicit in violating international law?

Lots of questions here for journalists who want to document the news and history.
