She made several enormous mistakes, and that is very high on the list. She didn't put down pro- voices, she didn't like being heckled. If I think about it I can get extremely damned angry because there's literally over a million people dead today that were not a year ago and would not be now.

It is a pretty fucking low bar, and still apparently you couldn't bring yourself to go out and vote. Gaza would be over by now if Harris was in office. Full stop. Instead we have that still happening with impunity and all sort of new fresh horrors.

(And yeah, the Democrats vigorously fucked up 2024, but the people that stayed home instead of holding their nose instead of voting against Trump are the ones that held us down)

You are dead right that we are unlikely to vote our way out of fascism. And if we end up with a revolution of sorts we need to be pushing to kill the electoral college and get instant run-off voting enshrined in an amendment. Can I get an amen?

Yes, the electoral college blah blah blah, I'd abolish it in a heartbeat, but surely you know that we got Trump because of a few thousand votes in Wisconsin? That we lost Gore because of skullduggery and a notable 3rd party candidate?

Tear into 3rd parties? Absolutely not. Our system IS rigged though, and unfortunately it does mean that the few times there has been interesting 3rd party traction it ended up fucking us over. Idealism is great but in the voting booth some reality has to be given quarter.

I've used computers professionally for almost 40 years and I gotta tell you, after 20 of those years being completely Windows centric, heck I had job offers from Microsoft, all my real usage happens on Apple devices these days.

The people who knew Trump is this evil, but didn't vote at all because of their anger over literally anything else is what got us in this particular mess. Yes, the Democratic establishment SUCKS and is proving it harder every day, but at least they aren't intentionally evil.

Throwing your vote away on a candidate that cannot win, or refusing to vote, is nihilistic though. If I could make one big change overnight it would be instant run off voting nationwide so we can start getting additional parties off the ground. Until then vote for them locally when nondestructive.
