I'm worried about the Melania movie. My wife actually suggested seeing it as a lark. "No one will have seen it," she cheerfully noted, "it will be an event!"

Okay, maybe the world isn't ending. The "Bubble" (really more like a fever blister!) in precious metals (gold and silver) has popped! Down 20% overnight. Fear about the demise of the US dollar has eased after the Madman-in-Charge, Trump, announced someone more or less normal for the next Fed Chair.

I don't really understand this. I'm not opposed to it, I just don't follow the why of it. In the last couple of years, American "craft" brewers have been packaging their beers and ales in 19.2 oz, 568 ml cans. These are pretty unstandard for the US market, but they're exactly Imperial pints.

He admits it. Trump is purposely damaging the US Dollar. This is folly. Regardless of what the Fed does to lower short-term interest rates, a declining currency results in higher long-term rates, like mortgages, because investors want higher returns for the risk.
