I think the most frustrating thing about tech bros insisting that the environmental cost of gen AI doesn't matter because AI will figure out how to fix it is like, we ALREADY KNOW how to fix the environment but corporate greed is stopping us and no amount of evaporating lakes will fix that.

"Get the principals on camera" is such a telling phrase here, because it tells us that for Weiss there's no world in which the victims of these horrific actions can actually be seen as the subjects of the story: They're background noise, and the people who matter are the ones sending them.

This was entirely about purging a trans instructor from the school and they succeeded. It was aided by a lot of dumb liberals taking it at face value arguing the minutia of grading rubrics while ignoring the obvious bad faith efforts behind this.
