still no refund on the time the police towed my legally parked car for no reason with no citation because someone else earlier in the day smashed in a window and it was parked outside a house it wasn't registered to and therefore seemed "likely stolen" without checking with anyone
Vehicles that are abandoned due to an ICE detention and towed to the City's impound lot will be released to their owners or a representative at no cost.

Good week at Wide Left (1/3) -

Living in the Twin Cities as a brown person, having experienced the post-9/11 atmosphere, I wrote about the recent history of modern American warfare at home and abroad www.wideleft.football/p/at-war-at-...
At War, At Home and Abroad
One week in, and it's already been quite a year. What does it mean to be at war?

Getting mixed signals on my timeline which boils down to

"Green gas has been released, which signals that the Giants have anointed their new head coach. Also that is zinc chloride, a painful chemical irritant that causes heavy metal poisoning, lung damage and liver damage"
The Posting Divide on here is really stark right now there's maybe a quarter of the people I follow doing normal discourse stuff and then the other 3/4ths are posting like "IF YOU SEE THE GREEN GAS START RUNNING"

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

there's a link in the replies but the long and short of it is: it's zinc chloride, which can basically cause heavy metal toxicity that can cause permanent respiratory damage as well as liver damage.

Ppl keep asking me what it's like here and like obviously there is tension. I walking around w my passport when I shouldn't fucking have to and watch my community get assaulted but I also say it's push-pull bc I have never more strongly felt these are my people. These community bonds are so strong.
On the ground here in Minnesota, it’s hard to reconcile the immense bonds of community that have been built in a week with the fact that we live in a country whose government appropriated billions of dollars to an unaccountable paramilitary force whose sole purpose is ethnic cleansing.

god I love this state
Props to the lady giving an interview in her pink UFFDA hat and saying, "well, gosh, I've never had tear gas and flashbangs shot at me, but I'm happy to take it so my neighbors are safe."

this is just my news diet now

the other day a friend of mine texted me that she was trapped in a car with another observer by seven armed ice agents who demanded they unlock the doors, intending to spray or arrest them. they used the full name of the observer who owned the car to intimidate them.

The Steelers offense trying to move the ball is like watching a 9 year old play Elden Ring on lethal difficulty and the Texans offense is CJ Stroud punching himself in the nuts
