He/him.

Globe Life Field played as the worst in the league for right-handed hitters last season. Third worst in 2024. I think García will be a nice get on a one-year deal.
Outfielder Adolis Garcia has been non-tendered by the Texas Rangers.

We've stayed in a few Home2Suites because it's a decent option if you have more than 2 kids. They all have sliding bathroom doors that don't lock. We had to remind ourselves not to open the door if the light is on in there.
Folks were putting them on bathrooms and it drove me insane.
it's incredible how poorly the 2010s sliding barn door interior aesthetic aged. it feels so dated now

This has to be the next Christopher Guest movie. I refuse to acknowledge this Waiting-for-Guffman-ass reality

@rotopat.bsky.social Crap, I won't be able to make the Chicago show. Hope they add dates or do this again at some point.

I'm assuming this is not the first "Royals face decision on India" headline the Times has ever run, though perhaps the first in about 80 years

Until owners open their books, the default assumption should be that they're making money hand over fist and they don't want the players to know it. And opening the books should mean cash flow statements for all affiliated entities, not just showing paper losses for the team.

Besides team control, Misner has an option year left, so he can be short term org depth for the Royals. His split against RHPs (81 wRC+) in a SSS isn't awful for a 4th/5th glove-first OF.

Since it's the Rays, I'm hoping the cost is cash and not a PTBNL.

It's always amusing when people think pitchers from the 1950s had invincible arms, when the attrition rate was terrible. And it was known at the time, and there were even predictions in the future that have almost come to pass by 2025.

Looking at Hendricks' 2025, he's the prototype of the kind of pitcher the Royals used to target.
There won't be many MLB contracts signed this early in the offseason, but free agents can now officially sign with a new team. Kyle Hendricks (Angels, 11/6) was the 1st to sign last offseason.

There's a case for the Royals bringing him back, but it involves Yastrzemski re-signing first. I'd prefer to wait on Grichuk anyway and see if his market fizzles before getting involved.
