an underrated part of this turducken of garbage is Elon posting an image of the Odyssey while discussing the Iliad, but it's all so terribly, terribly pathetic

This is my favorite example.

“Enjoy The Iliad the way it was meant to be presented: In 1.25x speed audiobook format.”

(The idea that you will get something more like the original experience by listening to it in English as opposed to reading it in English is very funny, too)

He seemed a little over his head on the “soft” parts of coaching like dealing with the media, and clearly the results on the field haven’t been good enough. Best thing you can say about his tenure is he did a pretty good job covering Daniel Jones’ limitations for exactly one year.
BREAKING: The Giants are firing head coach Brian Daboll after Sunday’s loss to the Bears, per sources.

Daboll, who won Coach of the Year in 2022, finishes his New York tenure with a 20-40-1 record in 3+ seasons.

A sentence I just wrote that I cannot figure out how I actually feel about: "I think deGrom might be more of a floor play than a ceiling player for Fantasy."

One interesting result from early fantasy baseball drafts is Mason Miller sitting as No. 4 RP (No. 15 P) with a 51.2 ADP despite real uncertainty around his role.

If he's the Padres' closer, I think he should be the No. 1 RP. But if they actually try him as an SP, I'd move him down significantly.

In our first mock draft for 2026, I went with Garrett Crochet and Paul Skenes with my first two picks just to see if it's a viable approach (not ideal, but viable). I wrote about that and 14 other interesting picks from that draft here: www.cbssports.com/fantasy/base...

are people ready for Jesus Made to debut as a 19-year-old? Cuz he got to Double-A last season and he doesn't even turn 19 until May of 2026. No guarantees, but pretty decent chance this guy is up before May of 2027 at this point.
Every year I say I am gonna spend less time mucking around with the order of guys outside of the top ten and then I never do. Doesn’t help when you have a glut of good but samey prospects like the Brewers. www.baseballprospectus.com/prospects/ar...

The thing about "lineup protection" is most people have it exactly backwards. Hitters hit better with runners on base than with the bases empty. If you want to "protect" your best hitters, get guys on ahead of them. That's the more important thing.
I feel like this "Harper needs better protection to see better pitches" thing has become canon & stats just don't match.

Look at it this way.. 3 guys hit behind him >100 times. Harper's zone%, by next-batter:

Schwarber: 48.6%
JTReal: 49.7%
Bohm: 55.1% (!)

Was Bohm protecting more than Schwarbs?!

If the kids don't like The National then I don't like the kids.
There’s a lot of like. Millennial signifiers under attack that I’m willing to let go of (ankle socks, Eminem, skinny jeans) but the thing I’m gonna hang onto is that this album still makes me cry a little, and the kids can’t shame me for that! I know it’s mom rock slop fuck you
