So I see this image and all my dumb brain can think is "Why is miniature Cade Cunningham trying to make regular Cade Cunningham eat a basketball?"

I totally get why we no longer say sitting "Indian style" but can someone please come up with something better than "criss-cross applesauce" which seems to have a distressing amount of use?

My mom immediately identified a lesser known Green Day song in my car as Green Day and since I'm 99% sure the last album she ever bought was Ghost in the Machine by The Police, I'm trying to figure out how she knew that.

I wrote a bit about the Eflin signing and the state of the O's rotation.

Zach Eflin Reunites With Orioles for 2026 Season
Eflin’s deal gives him a chance to rehabilitate his market value after a year of injuries, and helps the O’s deepen their rotation after a disastrous 2025.

Thank you all for another fun year. It's not the only reason, but getting to talk to you all about baseball and occasionally being the bridge between analytics and fans is one of the reasons I have no wish to work full time for a team. And thanks for putting up with my nonsense.

This is the point every year right before New Years where i suddenly think "oh crap, the year's getting one closer to the year on my tombstone" which then fades away when I see the next very stupid thing for me to get mad about.

Remember: If you believe that RA9-WAR is some magic "pure" measure of individual pitcher performance, you necessarily are saying there's no defensive difference between Pete Crow-Armstrong and Jo Adell. If pitchers get 21 runs of credit from PCA saving runs, you can't turn around and credit him too.

I'm happy the see the weather becoming less psychotic. I just cannot get acclimated when there are highs of 5 degrees and 68 degrees the same week.

Another oldie but goodie.

Thankfully, it took more than 20 years, but people have slowly come around to the idea that I may have the ability to access things that I own that are on my computer that I own.

This was a fun one. Some Braves fans were super angry with me for not remembering, in June 2016, a trade made in...July 2016.
