Official unofficial gov of East Texas. Agitator of status quos, nerd. Usonian. They call me Queso Blanco. Yall Means All. Democracy Supporter. He/Him.

This may be who we are, but it is not who we will be. Old glory does not wave for them, it waves for us.

I truly believe that crypto has underpinned much of the rot in the United States. Restoring order and democracy requires that it be extirpated.

Holy Frijoles.
the National Council for #Adoption will be running a Super Bowl ad. That’s about $16 million for a 60-second spot.

does anyone even fucking care how far that money could go to allowing vulnerable people to keep rather than lose their own children?

gooooood morning! I have rents between $1018 and $2030 available for adoption today. Let's keep on keeping people out of eviction court!

You can dm me on signal asiniiwiikwe.72 if you would like to pay someone's rent.
tomorrow i would really like to challenge a few folks with larger followings than me to adopt a rent and raise it in one day.

my little group chat and my followers have paid like 70 families rents in the past four days. i believe that some of y’all could help us keep one family housed.

Once again for people who know more than me - is there any particular trigger for Bitcoin burning a quarter of its value in a month (and half from its all-time high), or is it just panic exits?

Did it though?

If Meet Minneapolis has the guts, there is a bold, pro-tourism campaign sitting right in front of them.
Show how welcoming these people are, how brave. Let them talk about the beautiful people, experiences, art, food in the neighborhoods they're currently trying to keep safe.

Why would you lead with hotels doing well (bc of 3k fed agents), when the big story - much bigger in real money terms - is the enormous economic damage from the presence of these agents?

NEW: since last year, a pair of "highly trained" feds have been involved in an array of incidents attacking crowds with chemical weapons.

We used public records and open source analysis to identify Edgar Vazquez and Michael Sveum, alongside some other members of their tactical team.

Are solar farms in Ohio being denied due to faked local opposition? @canarymedia.com's Kathianne Kowalski does the work of checking the names and addresses — and it sure looks like there are a lot of fabricated "local" opponents to it:

Are faked public comments about to tank an Ohio solar farm?
Dozens of public comments opposing the $98 million Crossroads Solar project appear to be fabricated. Ohio’s siting board may block the project anyway.

I just generally think the antidote to dooming and feelings of helplessness is getting involved in any way. It can be as a poll worker, doing ICE watch, running for local office, helping with mutual aid, whatever.

You can get so much accomplished in your town or city if you just get involved.
anyway i know how many of you hate that i’m so vocal about this and think it makes me a naive shitlib or whatever. but again, i think the best thing you could do for yourself here is to get involved in election administration where you live.

Walked in there and the 4 YO is sound asleep on the couch. He almost never gets up in the middle of the night, guess he didn't feel like walking to our room.

I came for a visit in the summer of 1999 and loved it so much I moved here a year later. Both Saint Paul and Minneapolis are each great cities in their right but truly at their best when experienced as The Twin Cities.
Axios had a story today about how hard Minnesota’s economy is being hit and how slow the recovery could be. So, I’m going to take this opportunity to say that if you want to support the Twin Cities, you should plan a visit for this summer, spend some money here, & see how amazing it is for yourself.
