If you want to fully grasp the damage being done by Amazon Prime etc, try setting up an online offering yourseif. Since launching my charity Xmas gift shop on Contrado in aid of RNIB, I have a new awareness of how challenging delivery costs alone are, never mind the making. tinyurl.com/3wu5t9wy

Action fans take note! LAST SAMURAI STANDING is a fantastic chanbara spin on Battle Royale & Squid Game starring Junichi Okada, who also produces and serves as action choreographer. Drops on Netflix this Friday: www.scmp.com/lifestyle/en...
Review | Last Samurai Standing: 1800s Japan meets Squid Game in bloody Netflix drama
Thrilling saga with Junichi Okada as a warrior in a deadly race across Japan gives a new perspective on a sadistic premise we’ve seen before.

The fact that 30% of our stock market is wrapped up in “help-kids-kill-themselves” technology seems to be an important datapoint in the evolution of late stage capitalism.
ChatGPT advised a suicidal young woman on how to take her own life, telling her "If you choose death, I'm with you - till the end, without judging."
I wanted ChatGPT to help me. So why did it advise me how to kill myself?
ChatGPT wrote a woman a suicide note and another AI chatbot role-played sexual acts with children, BBC finds.

Friends— here it is. Updated & expanded thanks to the space afforded to me in the @therumpus.net & the guidance of the brilliant @roxanegay.bsky.social’s edits. The win centers Muslims humanity — but what does that mean in a country that rejects that?

A disaster for a magazine that has produced some outstanding political journalism over the past few years. Guess that’s over.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

Suddenly when puberty blockers are given to cis kids, the Daily Mail (the same newspaper which backed Hitler btw) finally admits that "their effects are not permanent, and once a child lets their blocking treatment lapse, puberty will just continue as normal."

Which is true for trans kids too.
Because it’s cis kids.
The NHS will quite casually give cis kids whatever treatment they need, even PBs👇
No trials. No concerns about side effects. No moral panic.

I love Gail's work. I did a generic repost and then cancelled it to say this instead - just reposting is easy but feels a bit impersonal sometimes? And since I have actually bought from Gail several times I thought it was worth saying so. It's good stuff, and a small business well worth supporting.
Hello!
It doesn’t cost anything to repost but it helps me spread the word about my small business.
