Daffodil disco, Regent’s Park today.

This happens to me pretty much every day. Although the majority of culprits are men, younger women do it too. My sense is it’s a London thing. People are stretched so thin with exorbitant rents, work stress, rammed rush hours. I don’t experience it anywhere else. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
A man pushed me in the street, he wanted to teach me a lesson. Is that OK now? | Lucy Pasha-Robinson
Many women reading this will have experienced something similar: a warning that sharing public space isn’t a man’s job, it’s a woman’s, says Lucy Pasha-Robinson, a Guardian assistant Opinion editor

Oh, I wish it would rain. Said absolutely no one in the U.K.

Cracking Tracey Emin piece by Charlotte Higgins ahead of Tate show. In 1995, I interviewed her at the wee gallery she ran in Waterloo. I fell in love with an ink drawing of the Margate big wheel. She offered it to me for £800. Sadly, I didn’t have the money. Sigh. www.theguardian.com/artanddesign...
‘Regrets? Number one: smoking. Number two: taking it up the wrong hole’: Tracey Emin on reputation, radical honesty – and Reform
She scandalised the art world in the 1990s with her unmade bed, partied hard in the 2000s – then a brush with death turned the artist’s life upside down. Now she’s as frank as ever

Apparently the U.K. has seen the longest spell of rainy days since 1908. Good for photos though.

How is everyone on this 97th day of Janebruary?
February 5, 2026 at 3:55 PM
Oh, and not forgetting the books section. No point in having actual book reviews when you own Earth’s largest bookstore is there?

Sooo, let’s axe the entire sports desk, and all of the Middle East correspondents because who the hell needs any of those right now. No money to pay for journalists but somehow found $75 million to fund Melania the zero-starred movie?

Shame on The Washington Post. Anyone would think the paper was owned by a… oh wait. Hopefully another paper will snap up brilliant Ukraine correspondent, Lizzie Johnson, immediately.

This prompted me to check demand for Melania: the Movie at my local London cinema for Saturday. I don’t know what’s funnier - that not a single ticket had been sold or the tiny space it’s being screened in.
