On the plus side, I suppose this may help US allies get the nuclear weapons they probably need now that Trump won't protect them.
On the minus side, Japan and South Korea have the computing resources not to care and it mostly benefits small rogue states who want to destroy the international order.

It's worth reminding Americans that one of the things that chilled Japan Inc's involvement in China was the risk that the PRC would detain its workers, so you really can't underestimate the chilling effect the Hyundai raid will have on foreign investment
