The political dynamic over the last 30 years has been:
1) Republican base overthrows their "mainstream" insufficiently right wing leadership
2) Democratic Party absorbs the overthrown republicans; tamps down its own base
3) Repeat

Republicans constantly attack their Congressional leadership, and they remove leaders who fail to achieve the objectives desired by the base.
This 'infighting' hasn't been a 'distraction' or 'weakness' for them, it has produced victory after victory, including control of all three branches.

someone asked me literally yesterday if I could use AI for voice acting for Waifu Death Squad since there are so many speaking parts, and my response was "why would I want to do that? Working with actors is the fun part, because they'll surprise you with their line reads or dialogue tweaks."
The thing that strikes me about replacing voice actors with AI slop is that, in the scope of a big AA/AAA production it barely saves money? These people aren't even full time. It's immizerating people because immizerating people is your goal, nothing more.
