RIP James Van Der Beek, whose greatest role was, of course, himself. Not for him the cheeky cameo: on Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23" the man turned self-ridicule into a full-time occupation, and did so magnificently.

James Van Der Beek is one of those rare actors who could legitimately be called an icon to my micro-generation, but I didn’t watch Dawson’s Creek thanks to the whole homeschool thing, so what I love him for most is his insane, hilarious turn as himself in Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23. Perfect. RIP.

shooting up contraband cancer mRNA vaccine behind the Cyber Arby’s in 2034. the Ring camera on the Wells Fargo across the street recognizes my shape using LIDAR and releases an HHS sanctioned Bobby’s Bullet Buddy drone that shoots each of my nuts clean off one at a time

I would give Linda anything she wants. If she wants a stolen car and a ride to the border of her choice, I’d steal two cars so she could choose which she’d prefer.
Do not let Linda trick you into giving her second breakfast.

the most depressing thing about that mRNA flu vaccine rejection is what I constantly get depressed about: we have the medical technology to *vastly* improve everyone’s lives and yet so much of it is just outright inaccessible

I still think being a woman in 2026 is better than any other time in history but we are fast approaching a point where I will seriously question that

Social media is awash with videos of men filming themselves approaching women in public spaces and attempting to flirt. In many cases, the videos are filmed and uploaded without the women’s consent. https://cnn.it/4qtIsvB

The purpose is to disincentivize investments in vaccine development
NEW: The F.D.A. refused to accept an application from Moderna for its mRNA flu vaccine.

Its reason: The agency did not think Moderna compared the new vaccine to one of the best flu shots available. The company spent $750M+ on a 41,000 person study.

The Wall Street Journal just illustrated the core argument of my book: a system rigged to reward capital over labor is one in which even full-time work no longer secures the most basic material needs.

This is the economic order that produces the "working homeless."

It's painful how many states are considering bills to cut disability services/programs right now. One aspect that makes it very painful is that it's not coming from an inherently evil ableist place...it has to do with Medicaid cuts.

If you have never heard of the idea that companies can contest unemployment benefits before, you are not alone. You might also not assume its not a big deal. But it is. A new nationally representative survey found 1 in 4 reported having their UI claim contested by their employer.
