To be clear, only "Secret Chats", which must be manually turned on per individual conversation, are end-to-end-encrypted (E2EE).
For the regular chats (the default type), encryption is client-to-server only, meaning Telegram can decrypt any and all of those chats.

Huh. Today I learned that by default, Telegram chats aren't secure unless one starts a "secret chat". And even then, Telegram can still 100% decrypt *any* chat they wish.

these are 8 years apart. I feel like that's really scary for some new artists to hear but it shouldn't be. This is what 8 years of bare minimum hobbyist learning can do. You don't need fancy bullshit to jump ahead and join your peers

The thing is this is actually just straight up true. Children who don't know any better are easier to abuse (and we know the echelons of power and conservatives in general are riddled with pedophiles), and then they grow up to be adults that are equally easily abused by capitalism.
