I was this many years old when I discovered that Jason Miller, who played Father Karras in The Exorcist, is/was the father of Jason Patric.

I genuinely don't know how I never stumbled upon this fact before, but am glad to know it now.

🎨 Artists: what do you use for large white areas on black paper?

I've tried Poscas, acrylic paint, & gouache: all of them are less than ideal. It might be the cheap acrylic paint I'm using?

wondering if there's some hack/product I'm ignorant about.

Might just stick white labels on it, ugh

Just fill Bluesky with insanity

It is my fervent wish— at some point— all these buffoons have moments of clarity where they finally see how they are perceived by us, & it breaks them inside

I'm tired of being aghast at, horrified of, & feeling a second hand embarrassment FOR the arrogance, audacity, & ineptitude of pathetic men

Oh, no. RIP, sir. Thank you for being part of one of my most favorite, treasured movies.

"A lot of people enjoy being dead. But they are not dead, really. They're just backing away from life. Reach out. Take a chance. Get hurt even. But play as well as you can. Go team, go! L-I-V-E. LIVE!" — Maude

I can't believe

A) that in 2026, there are still people who think the Shroud of Turin is a piece of cloth marked from Jesus' body. This has been being debunked for as long as I've been alive

B) that I just read about the newest "investigation" into its origins in... Popular Mechanics

Got everything I needed to do completed, so now I can make some Art *rubs hands gleefully*

Or, you know: stare at a blank page surrounded by my supplies while I get overwhelmed with choices and possibilities

But hopefully, eventually, Art 😁

Do not like how the ALT text menu comes up. There needs to be a way to bring up a large amount of the text and then scroll if there's more, not only have 3 lines pop up that you need to keep scrolling through 🤬

Very important article about ICE expanding & you SHOULD read the whole thing- it includes an 18 pg doc of the new ICE facilities planned, ALL ACROSS THE U.S. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

But for those of you who won't, the screenshots in the replies will have the entire lists in the ALT TEXT

Had one tortilla left in the pack, so I went to get the new ones we'd just bought & all of them are a good 1/3 smaller.

Same brand as before, same exact type.

Seeing shrinkflation more & more & it's infuriating. What recourse do we have except to just deal with it 🤬

[Boring real world rant over]

I have moved repeatedly in my life- sometimes across the country, and as I sit here, almost 50, I am astonished at how much of my past I've managed to hold onto.

I have books & journals that are over 35 yrs old; I still have my first ever CD.
It's not nostalgia- it's them being a part of my soul.
