The internet was built by and for autistic people to argue with each other about whether vi or emacs is better.

Any other use case is a perversion of this original intent and leads to disaster.
I think there's a valid but extremely banal point hidden in this self-own:

Anyone who is simply poasting as praxis is deeply unserious.

It seems increasingly likely a lot of the epic freakout over young men's right turn (based in part on the swing towards Trump in '24) was significantly a compositional effect. It wasn't a swing right. Enough lefty 18-29s sat it out that it looked like a swing right in the two way. Flatland kills.
Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

It's a good thread. In some ways I feel like it shouldn't have to be said that Epstein and his brother talking via email about photos of Trump fellating "Bubba's" dick doesn't mean this was a real thing that happened and there are real photos of it, but I guess it does.
Okay I didn’t have time today to say this when it came up, but about the allegations that there is photographic evidence of Trump performing fellatio on Clinton….

If you can get past all the cop quotes, there is a lot of important detail in here on the timeline of the last few months and how much violence the feds have inflicted on people. Infuriating and despair-inducing.
Trump's Chicago deportation blitz has hinged on aggressive and forceful policing tactics: Shootings, takedowns, chokeholds, car chases, chemical munitions, etc.

To get a better sense of the scope and the impact, we mapped incidents, spoke to those affected and analyzed policy.

Not the point but I wish someone would ask one of these officials claiming that certain people are "radical leftists" to define what differentiates a radical from a moderate leftist.
NIH scientist Dr. Jenna Norton was just placed on nondisciplinary leave.

She led a team who wrote a sign-on letter critical of The Regime.

A person at NIH asked to give a reason for her leave called her “radical leftist”; while the NIH Director has claimed that “dissent is productive”.
