After my daughter was born in December, I developed what was eventually diagnosed as postpartum OCD, which for me mainly manifests as hypochondria. This is the first thing I’ve read that really gets at what it’s like. I’m truly grateful to have read it.

There are certainly critiques to be made about P&R and the limits of its political imagination, but ”neoliberal” has an actual meaning, it doesn’t just mean “liberal who is bad.”
The reason 30 Rock succeeds years later while parks and rec has aged like a toilet full of milk, is that 30 Rock doesnt shy away from portraying Liz Lemon as an obvious villian with a victim/hero complex, whereas Leslie Knope was played just a straight hero character, even tho she is a neolib shill
