The more Bond (and Mission Impossible, for that matter) lean on continuity, the less fun they get. Just do whatever. Remember when they rebooted Bond with Craig but kept Judi Dench from the Brosnan movies? That ruled.

I always recommend starting from the beginning with Horse Running, and then from there you can skip ahead to Workers Leaving the Factory
A thing which surprises everyone, especially people I date, is that I don't watch movies. I've never seen a Wes Anderson film, I've seen only the Departed and half of Taxi Driver from Scorsese. More facts would just hurt you.
