I'm all about edge here, in that I keep posting here to get myself some activity but just before it climaxes into Discover, I pull away and decide to postprod some photos for a few days instead.
I just saw a review about a show called Killer Whales and "Shark Tank for crypto" is one thing but someone thought having Anthony "lasted ten days in the Trump administration" Scaramucci as a judge was going to be a big draw for the show lmao

tbf I think the fact that execs and managers are infinitely less accountable in the immediate because they've built insane amounts of institutional trust to get to where they are explains this.

It's not that frontline staff can't use AI, its that if THEY do it and it fucks up, they'll get fired lol
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

Confirmed: Earlier this morning a photog overheard agents inside the parking garage say “dismissed,” believed to be calling off their planned mass raid.

A source tells me they had planned for *hundreds* of agents to flood Canal St. They got flooded instead.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s office said it would cost $244.64 to review the emails between Abbott and Musk, which @kutnews.bsky.social and The Texas Newsroom paid.

After the check was cashed, Abbott’s and Musk’s lawyers sought to keep the records secret.

Part of the fun of reading old webcomic mock stuff is now almost every popular webcomic artist openly draws porn for money so all this old hand-wringing about those degenerate furries perverting comics as an artform and making everyone else look bad rings especially hollow.

Among many problems with a litigation-heavy economic system is that companies like OpenAI cannot admit to mistakes leading to catastrophic consequences without exposing themselves to litigation, so, instead, they have to double down and twist into pretzels to deny wrongdoing instead of improving.

HELLO IT'S BLACK FRIDAY

Instead of a sale this year I'm giving 10% of Black Friday weekend sales to @distributeaid.org for their harm reduction toolkits that provide safe injection supplies to trans people taking hormones.
