Seems a good day to announce INCLUSIECON answering the question:How can researchers, policy practitioners, and civil society partners we transform Canada’s tax-and-transfer system into a more fair, inclusive, and effective foundation for reducing inequality and addressing complex “wicked problems”?

I think the assumption is that it reduces water intensity in the non residential sector but I am not sure on the data on that

This is why you need to tell Calgarian residents what is a reasonable per person m3 consumption amount. Some households are doing a lot of heavy lifting always. Some are doing nothing ever. Our new normal needs to tell folks what to reduce to in addition to behaviours that reduce consumption

The US works like Quebec. IRS collects federal. State tax collectors collect state. Employers withhold and remit accordingly.

Cast iron in our inner city neighborhood!

Jan. 6, 8:30 a.m. Update

Here is the latest update on the critical water main break along 16 Ave. N.W.:

🚨On Jan. 5, our water use reached 514 ML which is 29 ML higher than our sustainable level – where our treatment plants can provide each day while repairs are made.

Sigh.
The Trump administration plans to freeze $10 billion in funding for child care subsidies, social services and cash support for low-income families in five states controlled by Democrats, claiming widespread fraud, without citing evidence, after a major welfare fraud scheme in Minnesota.
Health Dept. to Freeze $10 Billion in Funding to 5 Democratic States
The funding pause could jeopardize child care and other programs that serve hundreds of thousands of households in California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and New York.

When we sold our house in #yyj in 2015 everyone was saying the bubble was about to burst. That house we sold is now valued 2x+ what we sold it for 🤷🏻‍♀️

Took P to his pediatric neurologist apt this am. By the grace of god, he only had one one migraine in six months albeit he spent two months this summer in NS.

I cook and bake. It’s also my love language and it seems I’ve passed that on to my son.

If you're awake at 645 CST tomorrow I'll be on GlobaNews Winnipeg discussing whatever the hell this is:
Venezuela's collapse, Trump’s military buildup and Maduro's capture: How did we get here? | CBC News
Now that we're at a crisis point — with the United Nations saying U.S. President Donald Trump's weekend invasion of Venezuela contravened its charter and with Nicolas Maduro appearing in a U.S. court ...

And the next instalment of 28 years later in less than 2 weeks!

Good lord….

I remember when we had to line up in the gyms to register for classes, but that aside, registering for courses still does suck. I am actually not allowed to override our waitlists (we have them here) but empathize with students on the waitlists not being able to access course material on D2L.

The routine task of trying to register for required courses is often frustrating as many students get shut out. Is there a better way?

City update is really missing the really needed opportunity of saying, look if you use more than X m3 water per person you really need to address your households water consumption because that is way too much not just now during this emergency but also as we move into this new normal.
Thompson says even when the Bearspaw feeder main is back up and running, the city will have to run the pipe at lower pressures with less water, which is why conservation efforts will need to continue.

Well, the fall update had WTI at 61.50 and that was 6.50/bbl lower than the budget and we are now below $59 AND more importantly the differential was 11.30/bbl in the update whereas it is now more than $13 so...yah, not good.

Farkas says things won’t be back to normal until the Bearspaw Feeder Main is replaced and that new pipe is operational.
