Seems a good day to announce INCLUSIECON answering the question:How can researchers, policy practitioners, and civil society partners we transform Canada’s tax-and-transfer system into a more fair, inclusive, and effective foundation for reducing inequality and addressing complex “wicked problems”?

Just to update you. I had a few good days but tonight my uterus wants to crawl out of my eyes. I am trying to decide if that is better than it deciding to tunnel out of my cervix
Since we in Alberta are hearing the phrase “elective surgery” bandied about so freely today, it doesn’t mean a nice to have surgery it means a surgery that can be scheduled. So say you have uterine cancer and you are not in the ER dying. Your surgery to remove your uterus is elective, scheduled

Re Harvard and Summers and Epstein. I can think of many institutions and their programs who should think morally of who they court for money or sponsorship. We are watching. Who are we? We who have been harmed. We who represent those who have been harmed. Yes, I am looking at you.

You know things are corrupt when you are wondering if spending $100k on political donations to the UCP gets you more bene spending $100k on a surgery
Tossing and turning last night on the Premiers plan for this private health care system for so called elective surgeries. Mine, if I were to opt into a private surgery, would run me $60-$90k, the final amount I wouldn’t know until after the surgery due to complications

I am a new faculty mentor. After saying I post menopausal in a male dominated discipline and want to burn it all down, my advice was 1. say no often and ways 2. Have a tenure and promotion folder that documents everything (even failures) 3. Get to know your faculty association 4. AMA anytime
