this isn’t a particularly deep thought but I see life like a plate, and I go down the buffet of experiences, wanting a taste of everything.
and just like at buffets, the thing about wanting to taste it all is you wind up with smaller portions of each dish.

I’m so tired of men minimizing me and others, even “by accident”.
The work that other folks do on themselves to be thoughtful and not resort to “yeah I’m just a dumb son and so” isn’t some unattainable set of skills.
It’s a cop out to avoid EQ because you’re “just” a man and “awww shucks”-ing.

the biggest difference in my life has been proactiveness.
I didn’t fully understand what that meant until I was in my late 20s, but the shift from doing things out of anxiety to doing things because I had clear foresight on what could come next took me from checking boxes to creating a life I want
