Turns out Portland's check book is uploaded onto a public facing portal. Who knew?
So it looks like, for each of the 5 fiscal years available in the checkbook, a Bureau Search for the City Attorney's office results in a list of that shows the vendor as OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY.

Even the Mayor's office is more transparent than that!

$60,000 "employment discrimination lawsuit in the sum of $60,000 involving Portland Fire & Rescue" on the December 3, 2025 City Council Agenda.

The item includes the case number - 24CV29169 - which Councilor Kanal has been asking for.

An 18yo US citizen, surrounded by eight masked, armed agents of the state, taken into custody, not read his rights, not offered a chance to contact a lawyer, proof of citizenship ignored, handcuffed so tightly he later required medical attention.

Profoundly, profoundly anti-American shit.

Mayor Wilson seems to be doing more to further destabilize unhoused people than he is to actually address housing.

How does it help to monetarily punish people who can’t afford rent?

@mayorkwilson.bsky.social you are deafeningly quiet about answering this. Portland wants solutions - not cruelty.

Your lifetime of FPDR retirement pay is set by looking back at the last "year" of employment pay. But some 12-month "years" have an extra payday. If you retire at the end of a (rare) 27-payday "year" you will automatically make more in retirement than retiring at the end of a (normal) 26-payday year
