If you want a good shot of resistance vibes, read the testimony on SB 1586 (Sen. Sollman's sneak data center bill).

Almost all testimony submitted is in opposition.

People are being disappeared and tortured.
The horror stories rolling in from Minnesota are just the tip of the iceberg. This 20-year-old, who's lawfully present in the country, was arrested for being Latino, then jailed in a filthy cell where he couldn't even sit down. 18 days of illegal detention. democracyforward.org/wp-content/u...

A December media blitz over a police oversight board in Salem missed how the city’s police union leveraged political spending to control a controversial city decision.

The first investigation by The Western Edge is out now.

Is Redemption Possible in Oregon's Capital City?
The Western Edge uncovered a manufactured crisis, backroom deals, political spending, AI slop and a city council bending to appease a police union.

“It shows that there is in fact an Epstein class, which not only believes in their own personal impunity, but seeks to protect their fellow travelers as well. And that ultimately lines up with a political and economic vision that favors corporate domination over the public interest.”
Guys I found the best Epstein Files email. The one that illuminates an elite class that's cocooned themselves into an unaccountable shell of wealth and privilege, fighting to protect their secrets and offenses.
I could write a novel about this email.

Sad to see my final story written during my time at The Oregonian running today. I had gotten to know her while reporting a project and remember nervously pitching her on the idea of writing her obituary. "It would be a blessing," she told me. RIP, Avel Gordly.

Any union that primarily raids other union locals is not a part of the labor movement, it’s just a cartel of dues burglars who leech of real organizing. That’s also true of staff unions that push decerts of existing units, particularly when they do so by lying to and confusing people to get cards.

definitely seems like you're safer from any kind of punishment for being in the Epstein Files than for, say, just to pick two examples totally at random, attending a college protest for Gaza or tweeting that you weren't very sad Charlie Kirk died
Has anyone in the Epstein Files who didn’t do anything wrong been punished? Maybe someone who was at a meeting Epstein was at. Never went to the island, didn’t get money from him, nor had a bunch of friendly emails.

Anyone get arrested, fired, etc.? Because moral panics feature that sort of thing.

I hope she does it just so the ruling class has convulsions and continues to clarify who they are
AOC’s biggest problem if she runs for president is that the white men who control our media ecosystem will not so much put a finger on the scale to stop her as an entire hand

it can be done (see: Zohran) but it’s going to be blatant and it’s going to be infuriating
Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?
