A🧵 on the 2025 elections:

Portland had only one thing on the ballot, the Parks Levy. I want to thank the folks I met in Boise while knocking doors for the levy for the thoughtful conversations. I'm glad it passed, & I agree its not the best way to fund Parks. I hope we never need another one.

Early results show roughly 53 percent of Portland voters favored a new parks levy measure. The measure would set up a new, increased property tax to support the city's parks system. While the results could change as more ballots are counted, parks levy supporters are celebrating the early returns.
