Any org that has a pattern and practice of covering-up and facilitating child sex abuse should forever be uninsurable, whether it be a religious org, state agency, police bureau, school club, or political org.
The Archdiocese of New York says its insurer owes it hundreds of millions of dollars to pay off sexual abuse settlements.
The insurer says you don't get coverage for crimes you knowingly enabled.
No wonder the Catholic Church is furious.

I visited the Grotto tonight and saw all the lights and listened to some carolers. I saw a blond-hair blue-eyed baby in a manger and thought to myself, "How did a white baby come to represent the white Christian savior and how is it that Christianity can't be bothered to be more accurate?"

Christian Nationalism does weird things to peoples' minds. This is one of the leaders of King's Army claiming the Union Jack flag represents Jesus and the gospel and all Christians should be proud of everything the UK represents.

Question: Why are Portland resources being used for cops to direct traffic in Eugene? If I was a cop, could I take my city-owned vehicle and uniform to go tour Crater Lake or maybe direct traffic at Mt. Bachelor?

We're going to have a problem with AI generated Epstein pictures aren't we? Someone will post a picture and people will repost it as if it's real and it'll be repeated over and over. There will be muddying of the waters. We need a reputable database managed with integrity.

Drumming up a frenzy of controversy over a TV show is sometimes good for ratings and will get more viewers. Sometimes actions that look like self-sabatage are actually calculated marketing.

It's the time of year when cops do "Shop with a Cop" and post pictures of themselves in stores with kids and the kids' faces unredacted. A few police departments know to blur the faces but many don't. I found one department that even had the kids' names clearly visible in the pictures they posted.

MAGA folks point out the hypocrisy of liberals when they all-of-a-sudden are upset about ICE deporting undocumented immigrants because we a have a Republican president. I agree, the Democrat Party's harsh stance on immigration sucks and liberals and their electeds need to be held accountable.
