We are not running out of good ideas. They are bottlenecked and suffocated by the increasingly small number of people and companies that own things.

This is precisely the intention of vouchers. They are an elaborate plot to destroy the public education system, which is part of a larger plot to enslave the American population
Arizona, the model for voucher programs across the country, spent so much money paying private schoolers’ tuition that it faced hundreds of millions in budget cuts to critical state programs and projects last year.

School Vouchers Were Supposed to Save Taxpayer Money. Instead They Blew a Massive Hole in Arizona’s Budget.

Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.

Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

Remember last year when we said we would drop The Tribune's paywall if we raised enough money to support the transition to free? About that… 😁
The Salt Lake Tribune will drop its paywall next year, CEO tells donors at NewsMakers gala

One thing that strikes me is just how fake all of our problems related to government are

The filibuster isn't in the Constitution, and every single Framer would be apoplectic that it exists.

The government shutdown was invented in 1980

The 9-justices limit was invented to stop the New Deal

Before they take on election reform or any other bill, if the Democrats get back Congress and the White House - HR 1 will need to be about rebalancing and restructuring this MAGA #SCOTUS. Nothing else should come before it bc otherwise this Court will gut anything Dems pass.

SCOTUS is issue no 1.
“If in the period after Donald Trump’s tenure, Democrats retake control of the House and Senate and secure the presidency, bold election reform that protects both free and fair elections and voting rights must be on the table”:

👏 That's 👏 what I'm 👏 talking 👏 about. Absolutely.

Running gag goes meta as Johnson says he knows nothing about Trump knowing nothing
RAJU: Last week you were very critical of Biden's use of the autopen. But Trump admitted on 60 Minutes to not knowing he pardoned a crypto billionaire who pleaded guilty to money laundering. Does that also concern you?

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know anything about that. I didn't see it. I'm not sure.

Democratic leadership is looking a lot like GOP leadership in 2010-2016 rn where there is just this massive chasm between their priorities and that of their party’s base.

At a time when billionaires would be all too happy to replace artists with AI slop, I think it's important to celebrate artists like Drew Struzan.

If you've seen a movie poster in the past 30+ years, you've seen something he did. A true master of the craft.

It is increasingly clear that the majority of federal law enforcement officers do little or no real work, hence having the time and resources to do what they've been doing under Trump.

Whole agencies need to be zeroed out, with employees sued to pay back salaries and benefits wrongly obtained.
"Dunn’s attorney says he tried to turn himself in, but instead, 20 officers came to his home to arrest him."

Just think about that for a minute.
Subway sandwich guy has been released on his own recognizance.

His attorney argued the felony charge was excessive, and the judge agreed.

Oh, and he’s a USAF veteran.
