Whenever I see clips of chuds (in other people's videos or posts), it's so obvious they're fake fans, grifters, and culture war tourists who act like they're the biggest experts and sole authority on fandoms and pop culture topics when they're liars who don't understand them.

Social media absolutely ruined both media criticism and media literacy, and so much of the blame rests on algorithms that reward laziness and bad faith criticism.
It's why I'm very selective in the critics and pop culture channels I follow on YouTube and here.

Finally got caught up with the King of the Hill revival this week and this is the gold standard for future revivals.
Let the characters age, have them live in modern times, show their growth, but still remain true to who they are. Bring back as much of the OG cast as possible.

Wasn't Paramount's whole pitch to Warner Bros "Hey, unlike Netflix, we'll still let you do theatrical releases" and now they're already killing theatrical releases in favor of their streaming service. Creatives deserve better.

People really need to learn the difference between snarky riffing that's done in good faith and fun (like what RiffTtrax does) vs bad faith criticism, shouting petty insults at people, and simply being an asshole for no good reason.
