I briefly gave it a shot to fill a Reacher-sized hole in my TV diet...and you know it's not bad bad it just could be better if network shows weren't so damn cheap.
The evidence I use for my friends is to tell them Tracker is the #1 show in the country and not one has ever even heard of it

we fired a dozen precious tomahawks at a 200-total-personnel militia with tangential ISIS ties far away from the bulk of the ISIS/BH threat in Nigeria (a friendly government with its own large and capable military) and it sounds like we didn't even hit them.

Vividly recall when Republicans universally blamed 9/11 on Clinton only ever lobbing Tomahawk missiles at threats, never using ground troops. And this was the 90s when there were no near-peer threats to ready against.

Thinking about how George Lucas decided calling them stormtroopers was too subtle so for the sequel he gave them Klan hoods and most people still didn't notice.

Gunn has not missed with studio money and now he has a studio.
I know Marvel is on the outs, as is the worst Chris, but The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is.... good. Great even.

Scrooged...a film about a vulgar and greedy network TV executive wielding sensationalist reactionary fear and shallow, antiquated spectacle to please his sundowning 80-year old boss...hits a little different this year.

Admittedly I was a weird kid but I was reading about the successive failures of battleships in the age of air power when I was 8 or 9. Pearl Harbor, the Bismarck, Taranto, Force Z etc etc.

I feel the holiday nature of this commercial has overshadowed the far worse Ben Affleck panty fetish Coke ad.
The oral history of the Folgers ad done by Gabriella Paiella on the 10th anniversary is one of my favorite pieces of writing on the whole internet. www.gq.com/story/folger...

Also the entire scheme has been predicated on helping Bukele cover up his own collaboration with the actual MS-13 gang, more or less cementing him as a key cog in the Central American narco pipeline (along with the ex-Honduran President that Trump pardoned after being caught with 500 tons of coke.)
To add to this, Miller is most likely lying, experts on CECOT have said the guys with face tattoos have likely been incarcerated for years; ie they are not the ones the administration deported. bsky.app/profile/bgru...
No 60 Minutes segment can be considered complete without this kind of erudite analysis on the issues of our day.

Arthur Lee Allen was the Zodiac. The movie makes a thoroughly convincing case (bolstered by new evidence since) even as its central theme is doubt in the face of Graysmith/Toschi/Avery's obsession.

Trying to find the quote but someone awhile back said The Odyssey was an early example of post-apocalyptic fiction. A yarn told around campfires about a dead civilization with all sorts of anachronisms injected by the storyteller to relate it to both the audience and, frankly, themselves.

Loved one hit me up for a little holiday cash and their timing...as I took the last swig of a Utica Club pounder after a week of cold-induced sobriety and a day of last-minute shopping... couldn't have been better.

"I assume it's a shantytown" might be the line that epitomizes her entire deal.
“It’s the new Jeffrey Epstein jet.”

Kristi Noem “posting a fun video in front of caged, tatted men.”

Look how Bari Weiss’ The Free Press wrote about CECOT — the El Salvador megaprison Trump shipped people to — just months before she stopped the 60 Minutes segment on it:

As others have noted it took me so long to realize she's being a bigot

Bullying works
Kavanaugh goes out of his way to pen a footnote not having to deal with the case at hand.

He appears to be trying to narrow the forces he unleashed with his prior opinion allowing for race- and ethnicity-based #KavanaughStops

That's honestly the most persuasive case that the letter might be a hoax because it only alleged things Trump himself bragged about on tape to Howard Stern and one of the lesser Bushes
Sure would be weird if anything in Epstein's dying declaration about Trump grabbing pageant contestants genitals matched multiple audio recordings of Trump saying he did the exact same thing

'if the allegations against Trump were true they'd have been used to frame him'
The Trump DOJ is running scared and so they're putting out this kind of dreck on social media:

Really funny to have fairly definitive proof that Trump didn't have Epstein killed that Trump didn't dare release.

The lead ship in a class IS THE NAME OF THAT CLASS. So if the lead ship is the USS Defiant it's not the Trump class it's the Defiant-class.

The only thing we aren't gonna rename is the F-47 because that got all the way through approval without any of them saying it out loud to themselves
Another thing to rename in 2029

He's really only refusing to take sides on the whole 'did the widow whose endorsement I'm here to accept conspire with the International Jew to assassinate her husband' debate.
"the vice president is neutral on bigotry" is damning on its own as a headline, IMO, but still underplays just how much of what he said was actually pro-bigot
This is NYT headline morning after JD’s grotesque hot blast of white supremacist nativism at Turning Point’s hate-fest?!
