Vividly recall when Republicans universally blamed 9/11 on Clinton only ever lobbing Tomahawk missiles at threats, never using ground troops. And this was the 90s when there were no near-peer threats to ready against.

Also the entire scheme has been predicated on helping Bukele cover up his own collaboration with the actual MS-13 gang, more or less cementing him as a key cog in the Central American narco pipeline (along with the ex-Honduran President that Trump pardoned after being caught with 500 tons of coke.)
