Let’s talk about abolishing ICE.

Very few people who say “abolish ICE” mean “abandon all immigration enforcement.” Rather, they mean “the structure of immigration enforcement is irretrievably broken and needs to be reorganized, just like we did 23 years ago when we created ICE.”

Only 57 Democrats voted NO.

This is 10th-grader Arnoldo Bazan.

A citizen.

Immigration agents grabbed him and put him in a chokehold.

"We're from the United States bro!' he screamed.

Agents took and sold his phone

And when he finally got home hours later, his shirt was ripped, he neck had angry, red welts, and he sobbed.

This isn't just a casual observation. Fascism scholars have long made this point. It's why calling them "weird" was a more effective strategy than talking about the prices of eggs. Fascism is an aesthetic political movement - you need to make people feel embarassed and horrified by it.
one of the most effective weapons we have against fascism is mockery, especially when its really funny
It occurs to me all the yelling at ICE in MPLS isn't merely funny. Getting made fun of like this is awful for morale. ICE is losing field officers faster than it can wave them through training, and a big part of it is how little of this these little weasels can take.

Renee Nicole Good was not the first person to be murdered by ICE under Trump.

Keith Porter was a Black man killed by ICE on New Years Eve.

Silverio Gonzalez was an undocumented immigrant killed in Franklin Park.

Marimar Martinez was shot 5 times in Chicago & survived.

No one is safe.

Greg Bovino should be charged with murder under conspiracy doctrine. He was told weeks ago by a federal judge that he was going to cause the death of a civilian and was acting lawlessly.

He has persisted in stoking the exact conduct he was told to stop.
