I had a really great year with bikes. Tops would have to be my 6 year old putting on a race at the park for other kids, tons of night rides in the woods, one really great ride in the woods during the day, running my own mountain bike biathlon at night, scheming at getting a new bike in 2026.
I need some positivity. Quote or reply with your favorite bike memory of 2025. It can be a great ride, an advocacy accomplishment, whatever. Let's celebrate bikes.

My personal favorite was finally doing a bikepacking ride up to Portland, Maine! It has me excited for bigger adventures in 2026.

And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die but instead started writing a manifesto saying "There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Remember this. Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction."
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, but instead realized at that moment the only way to reach the wealthy was through absolute terror, donned a black mask across her face, grabbed the half empty bottle of sprits, stuffed into it a rag & took up arms as she marched determinedly into the cold Xmas night.
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, eventually became a Queen! Not dark but beautiful and terrible as the Dawn! Treacherous as the Seas! Stronger than the foundations of the Earth!

@pattonoswalt.bsky.social I received these from a mystery sender yesterday. I don't have a super high bar for acceptable cookies, but these do not reach that bar.

What kind of e-bike? Class 1? Class 2? Class 3? All of them? Do you mean e-motos?

I am happy to have conversations about e-bike regulations, but I'm begging people to understand the variety of micro-mobility devices being called "e-bikes."

pickup trucks for the average person should not have been allowed to advance past this. if you need anything bigger, you should have to provide some kind of documentation showing you have the license and need for special heavy machinery, otherwise you get the 1990 toyota hilux

IT'S '6-7', COOPER. A GENERATION ALPHA TREND. WHAT THEY CALL A 'MAY-MAY'. IT'S AN ORPHANED SIGNIFIER, NO SIGNS ATTACHED. ONE COULD CALL IT DADAIST, BUT SOMME SAY IT'S TOO STUPID TO BE DADA. IT'S ANTI-MEANING, ANTI-HUMOUR, BUT DAMN IF THOSE KIDS DON'T FIND IT A CRACK-UP.

I'll cautiously say I've noticed more skepticism about AI in the corporate world and it's mostly because people's coworkers are creating extra work for them. They don't have the vocabulary to describe it yet but it's basically the "Why should I read what you couldn't be bothered to write" thing

Yeah, it's a phase called life. I, for one, am likely to die someday and stop riding bikes.
Wait, it's supposed to be a phase?
the average millennial man has gone through a phase where they make riding bikes their whole personality. It’s a very normal part of life
