What about discussions of Western patriarchy, then? Well, white women aren't that oppressed and are reactionary feminists and benefit from patriarchy, which is principally a tool of colonialism and corrupting non-Western cultures but not worth discussing as an issue or a concern itself.

I have to say that every discussion about patriarchy in the West begins with the assumption of it being a 'lesser issue'. If you talk about non-Western patriarchy, you have to immediately have thirteen disclaimers and defenses to make sure you aren't being read as trying to be racist or xenophobic.
