I feel like I should pin this as I seem to be getting an alarming number of followers.
I am in fact a real anarchist. That isn't a joke. States are bad, cops are bad, no war but class war etc.

My actual real cancelable media take is that I strongly disliked the way Gwen was handled in Spider-Verse 2 because it felt like a cynical (and successful) attempt to drum up 'controversy' to get eyeballs on the movie without actually committing to trans people.

There are barely enough Bsky users for a crosstab but from what data we have we gotta keep in mind what a weird place it is ideologically. If understanding politics matters to you, please remember you are currently on a platform with ~zero people who hold America's most popular political label.

The way to alleviate it is to find ways to reach out and touch the people responsible, of course, but that sort of thing is best not discussed online.

I feel like the recent discourse is a good example of what I have been thinking of as 'pressure cooker politics'.
We all know everything sucks. That sense is escalating rapidly. We do not have the means to reach out and touch the people responsible. So we lash out at the people in arm's reach.

Btw a reminder that no you don't need expensive software to be a 'real' writer lol, a basic word processor is not only fine but what the majority of working writers use. (I define working writers as those who get paid for writing.)
