Man, Monster Train 2's new DLC run mode can be hard to get into, but when it gets going it gets *going*

Highlighted is my Fae's Blessing spell, which is normally a weak healing spell that restores 5 health, with any overhealing converted to armor. The screenshot shows that my version of the spell heals for 155 health instead, and also chains into a second copy when cast. This would be a good time to remember the Abyssal Prism from the previous screenshot; I can basically super-armor an entire floor of units at once. Highlighted is my Spike of the Hellhorned spell, which drains all available Fuel to grant Rage and Armor to one target once. It's been upgraded to be recastable and to grant a sizeable bonus even if I'm completely out of Fuel. And again, the Abyssal Prism will boost this over an entire floor if timed right.

If you make something popular enough eventually you will die or sell it off and and a person in thick rimmed glasses whose main artistic vision is that he loves to have meetings will take it and sandblast it until it's nothing. I hate to see this happen here but maybe it's good that this happened. Maybe every franchise should collapse into a version of itself that makes shareholders nod and shake each others' hands. We should learn to speak in a language that rich people who don't dream can't comprehend.

On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.
On Nov. 16, a mental health counselor recorded in Kamilla’s medical records that her mother reported the girl had lost her appetite after being “served food that contained worms.” A week later, the couple said, children were told to gather in the gym for what they believed would be a Thanksgiving celebration. Excitement spread as families saw tables set with turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, they said. The children waited expectantly. But when a parent asked when the celebration would begin, Oksana said, staff told them the holiday meal was for employees, not detainees. The children, she said, watched despondently as the feast was packed away.

Like Ardal O'Hanlon, I asked him what he disagreed with and he spluttered and changed the subject. To be fair to him, I did get the impression he's being bamboozled by his son, who apparently doesn't even think women should have fair sports. Still, a giant of a man in many ways, just not this one.

Nadia won Big Brother in 2004. Hayley Cropper was a beloved character on Coronation Street. Trans people were not an enigmatic, vaguely sinister abstract in the UK prior to 2015. A lot of work has been done by the media to get them to that point, and to make hatred against them more permissible.
