Ruben Amorim plays a brand of rigid system football I cannot and will not respect.

He beefed with Youth players and did a great deal wrong.

But hustling brexit billionaire Jim Ratcliffe and making him look like a total fool and walking away with a smile on his face is simply too funny.

I rate it.

Porn and erotica are important and societally valuable forms of speech, and the defense of them, in the face of state and church attempts at repression, is a necessary political act.

He affirmed support for getting someone in Venezuela who will sell it off to the highest bidder. Trudeau hosted Guaido, now Carney is trying to legitimize Machado so the US doesn’t get the only crack at Venezuela’s resources.
I spoke with María Corina Machado today. I affirmed Canada’s support for a peaceful, Venezuelan-led transition of power — one that respects the democratic will of the Venezuelan people.

The end goal of Grok sexual harassment is to make women afraid to be visible. It’s a punishment for daring to exist in a way the perpetrators can’t control. There’s no one solution to this, because the problem isn’t just technological. It’s cultural. It’s misogyny. This is just one expression of it.

This has been the default imperialist position for centuries, so really the oddity was that brief period of comfortable unipolar hegemony where it seemed gauche to say it out loud. No clearer sign of late imperial anxiety than the contemporary return of this old ass monocle and pith helmet blather
On X, a senior U.S. Justice Department official is promoting a post that praises colonization as “one of the greatest things that ever happened to the backwards parts of the world.”👇

Worst genre of post during times like this is the Americans seeing everybody across the world despising their settler-state and doing the 'not all white ppl' equivalent of geopolitics.

It's so impossible for the average liberal to understand the fact that just because something is "legal" doesn't make it right or moral. Slavery was "legal", segregation was "legal", apartheid was "legal", etc etc. So what exactly is the point of legality in capitalist and white supremacist systems?

Western liberals are so obsessed with the facade of legality for their brutal campaigns of capitalism, imperialism, militarism, colonialism and genocide on Black and Brown people in nonwestern countries. Because their capitalist and white supremacist congresses "approving" it totally makes it right.

Liberals, especially the ones in the US, are just fascists who love paperwork, and following rules made by capitalist and white supremacist ghouls. "Did congress approve this or that bombing?"

Regime change in the name of US imperialism is only groovy if you go through the "proper" channels. 👍🏾👌🏾

People keep saying 'International Law' like it means anything.

It simply does not.

Genocide after genocide should've laid that bare.

Both the US & Europe stand to benefit greatly from this resource extraction--it's the same game they've always played.

Mob Shit. That's all there is.

Nothing more

I hope it helps your transition off US tech!
Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!
Getting off US tech: a guide
I’m in the process of dropping US tech services. Here’s how I did it, and options you should consider.

Rodri is so fake man.

Imagine playing like this after being out for over a year after doing your ACL.

Ridiculous game-intelligence combined with execution.

Give him another Ballon D'Or.

I respect what Arne Slot views as his ideal of football.

The trouble is if you want to play that liquid football--that Pep Barcelona-esque champagne football, you do actually need an elite metronome at the heart of midfield.

And that's the one thing he simply just does not have lol.

It's funny.

Fulham are cooking.

Harry Wilson has just been wildly reliable as a creative outlet for them this season.

And wow, the Raul Jimenez link-up play is as good as ever.

Fantastic goal.

The Canadian government celebrates the US committing the crime of aggression against Venezuela, in violation of international law and the UN Charter, even as it calls for respect for international law.

I’m not surprised: Carney took a similar approach when the US illegally attacked Iran last year.

Mushishi was drawn on paper. When sound effects overlap with dense art, its import nt to consider if they were drawn on top of that art, or if they were drawn first and then the line art was drawn around them. How screen tone interacts is also important. (I'll add more to this thread later today.)

There's a new English release of Mushishi, lettered by Phil Christie (@kernedout.bsky.social). I adore how Urushibara-sensei utilizes texture in her art, and how the sound effects inherit that texture. Phil does an amazing job replicating that with subtitled SFX. Notes in alt text!
