A project shouldn't exist unless it furthers adopted city plans and complies with law.
We've flagged noncompliance months in advance of resurfacing every year.
There's enough funding and time every year to fix this problem.
Agency leadership just needs to do it.

8 years after @bmorecitydot.bsky.social created their own legally mandated resurfacing standards, they're still breaking them.
Fire the TEC division staff who ignore the law.
Generate projects out of Planning division.
Require signed compliance forms before asphalt touches the ground.

Amid resurfacing ‘blitz,’ not all road projects comply with Baltimore safety code
Some of this year’s road resurfacing projects in Baltimore won’t comply with all Complete Streets standards — a problem advocates say has persisted for years.

inspired to write obituaries of all my enemies just in case :)
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.
Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."
Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.
