I didn't realize this and it's kinda amazing.
I'm generally suspicious of the massive government subsidies given to US corn industry, and think some of the uses of corn can be silly. but whoever came up with the packing peanuts made from cornstarch that aren't dangerous if a pet or kid eats one and can dissolve in the sink? genius

This is, in part, why striving for a consistent party value of “Immigrants Are Welcome Here, Pathways To Citizenship, Abolish ICE, and New Immigration Systems” matters. Lots of people don’t know about our immigration system, we have to promote a new vision in a land of bullshit and ignorance.
