It's weird that "kids deserve privacy" and "kids have rights" are such fucking radical stances to take. Have you noticed what happens when they don't get privacy and aren't given agency? They're abused by adults. See: America.

This Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember and honor our trans siblings who’ve lost their lives to anti-trans violence.
Let’s recommit to fighting systemic oppression, while we also recommit to cultivating our resilience.

For Transgender Day of Remembrance: Kris and I were mutuals on Twitter--we sometimes talked about their cats--and they were undoubtedly a big part of my spiritual and queer journey. A year after their death, I came out as nonbinary myself.

On Trans Day of Remembrance, I'm resharing this great page from @lgbtqreads.bsky.social. Use it to find #mglit with trans main characters: lgbtqreads.com/middle-grade/

Then, add those titles to your TBR or give them as gifts. Books create empathy, and we could sure use more of that these days. ❤️🏳️⚧️

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

And now, over 170,000 people are at risk of being pushed out of homes and back onto the streets.

We’re in a housing crisis.
