Some good news! Democrats have removed all anti-trans provisions from the final appropriations bill– including those that would have blocked public funds for gender-affirming care and threatened funding for schools that support trans students. buff.ly/RBrUu7u

This year, our Supportive Schools team launched “Back-to-School” mini grants, a new initiative to fund local groups focused on creating safe, joyful, and community-centered environments for LGBTQ+ youth.

For the past year, we’ve run regular Resource & Resilience Centers to help bring LGBTQ+ folks in Western North Carolina. These events grew from weekly supply drives to cover basic essentials in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, to monthly gatherings where people can find joy, hope, and community.
