I write books, like the "ONE & ONLY" series, WISHTREE, ODDER, DOGTOWN, and most recently, POCKET BEAR.

THE LITTLEST ELEPHANT: A One and Only Ruby Story is coming 3/17/26, and WOMBAT WAITING is coming 5/5/26!

I post with some help from Two Cats Comm.

Book tour! THE LITTLEST ELEPHANT, my picture book version of Ruby’s story, comes out on March 17. I'm hitting the road to celebrate. 💙🐘

I can't wait to meet young readers and visit some great bookstores and schools. Join me!

It's probably no surprise that I found my way to reading through books about animals. Encountering CHARLOTTE'S WEB was a real turning point for me—before that, I thought books were boring.

It's been such an honor to bring animal stories to life for young readers. I'm a lucky author, indeed. ❤️

I hear from a lot of readers trying to track down the harder-to-find #Animorphs books. They're long out of print, but I do want to mention that the entire series, including the Megamorphs and Chronicles books, are available as audiobooks. 💚🦎

Here's the series on @libro.fm:

Here's a fun look at how the Swiss have learned to live with wild beavers, in spite of the odd gnawed tree. The broader impact on local biodiversity is absolutely incredible. ❤️🦫

Remarkable story about Minneapolis's progressive roots. It was the first city to pass a trans-inclusive non-discrimination ordinance, in 1975.

But this part hurts: "Fifty years later, the United States still lacks similar protections on a federal level."

Fifty years ago this month, Minneapolis passed an anti-discrimination law so forward-thinking that much of the U.S. is still catching up.
