part of adhd is having great ideas and no followthrough. my idea is a slow-motion toaster timer for tea bags which slowly elevates your teabag out between 3 and 5 minutes after you put it in. lifechanging for executive dysfunction. if you craft one please credit me and pay me some royalties, tyvm
Oh look #writingcommunity the cup of tea I made and forgot all about as soon as I turned on my computer 🤦🏻‍♀️ ☕️

Cannot stress how bad shit is about to get if you want to build any kind of PC.
Crucial is shutting down — because Micron wants to sell its RAM and SSDs to AI companies instead. It’s already getting hard to build an affordable PC, and the exit of the longstanding provider of consumer memory is going to make that even more challenging www.theverge.com/news/837594/...

This is 100% true. A guy paid a million dollars JUST to write the first book about it. Techbros were absolutely convinced it was world-changing.
Younger people who didn't witness it cannot fathom the hype around the Segway. Every news station agreed it would revolutionize the entire social fabric of the Earth. That all future humans would divide history between the savage days of the past, and the soon to be new era of zoom zoom scoot scoot.

When Kyrsten Sinema spoke in favor of an AI data center at an Oct. 16 Chandler City Council meeting, she failed to mention she was there as a paid lobbyist.

Now, Sinema may have created an opposition she hoped to avoid.

Kyrsten Sinema is getting paid to push for a Chandler data center
When the ex-senator threatened Chandler over a data center, she was working as a paid lobbyist. She might suck at it.

There's a couple reasons so many IWW songs are set to the tunes of hymns and one is that the Salvation Army Band would show up and try to stop workers organizing by playing hymns to drown out speeches, so the Wobblies came up with words so they could sing along. SA has been trash all along.
It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

I have a chance to pick up more work this week, but I'm still stuck in the trap of raising *JUST* enough to get to work and eat and sorta kinda scrape by on housing. If I met a mini-immediate goal of $350 I'd be able to commit to the extra work and cover all my baby-runs for through Sunday.
Imagine you are going into labor and the one shot you have if having a caring professional there to catch your baby is taking the bus and is about 2 hours out.

Birth workers need to be quick and @authorwinifred.blacksky.app is the one you want to have a car at the bottom of her Batpole.

For years, the disability community has been used by industry as a shield against Medicare For All.

In new polling from @dataforprogress.org, we asked disabled voters whether they support M4A:

62% Support among voters who ID as disabled
63% Support among voters who do not ID as disabled

I switched to this and @bookshop.org for every book, ebook, and audiobook purchase where they have what I want - which is 99% of them -- and the apps are great, and I get to support a local bookstore. It's all win here, folks.
If you happen to be looking for an alternative audiobook listening platform, there are many out there, including us at Libro.fm 👋

We aim to build community in many ways, including by supporting independent bookshops with every purchase you make—versus tearing communities apart.
