The Livi character stickers Niken designed are done, so getting ready to order those this week. I've been happy with Jukebox's quality of the others I've ordered--if you're looking to get stickers (or other promo items), I do recommend them. This is a referral link that'll get us both some savings.

Still a little mad about this. Dismissing craftivists (who are mostly women) as cringey bandwagoneers is bullshit. Not everyone is Extremely Online; communities form in person, too: PTA meetings, book club, grocery store, gas pump, daycare pickup, pharmacy, dog park, ice rink, stadium, etc etc etc
And they aren't all crowing about it on social media, so let's not assume that all the people in hats and buttons passing out whistles are doing nothing else. People - "wine moms," "knitters," who else do you think has ready access to breast milk? - are working behind the scenes for good.
A detail I don't want to get lost in this: So far, Bri and her network have helped more than 500 families with grocery deliveries and more than 300 with diapers and wipes. In just two months.

You don't know what else someone who's wearing a red knitted cap is doing, and they prob shouldn't announce all the things they are doing — nor do we want the fash to be able to identify who is and isn't doing heavy resistance work by virtue of a hat. Let symbols be popular.

Please don't accuse people in knitted hats of only wearing their supposed politics if all you're doing is posting, which is basically just another way of wearing your politics. It's a silly thing to attack people over in any case. Using fashion to signal support for ongoing acts of rebellion is good

All of this. I am the first of my target audience.

Part of this is, if you aren't creating for someone, it's like creating for everyone, which is creating for no one.

And as a writer, that someone should be me since I HAVE to reread my work over and over and over 🫠 that's publishing, bay-bee
"Why would I read something someone couldn't be bothered to write" is a great refrain but I would also add as a writer "I won't write something I couldn't be bothered to read" because that's what every one of my books are: something *I* want to read.

But @libro.fm isn't making it easy. How can I tell readers to get audiobooks from you if you keep yanking listings randomly?

I can't be constantly checking links; I have books to write.

I am literally not writing right now bc I have to spend time getting to the bottom of this.

Do better.
Sorry to anyone trying to get PETITION on @libro.fm - searching turns up "no results" & the link returns "no longer available".

The listing's been removed yet AGAIN 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've lodged a ticket, but in the mean time:

Geriatric/elder Millennials are absolved. No one born before 1990 had a smartphone during their childhood or teen years.

TikTok, IG, and YouTube shorts are dominated by 1990s- and 2000s-born influencers, mostly. They came of age in this immersive digital world.
