I found this to be a fantastic post (and explanation) about that red hat fundraiser in the US, as well as some of the anger involved from a few sides. The comments are super interesting, too, as they cover the counter arguments to the main rant.

Hey folks! @skyladawn.ca is at the emergency vet clinic with the fourth emergency in four months.

This appointment is probably going to cost ~$500 so I'd like us to try to cover as much of it as possible. This is going to be a thread on how to help.

Okay, this is one of the rare times that you have the read the comments. The video is outstanding and explains the gut-brain connection very well.

And the comments are *glorious* folks. GLORIOUS.

some always popular posts here is someone going "guys stop posting so many bad things" and every time I'm like "skill issue. mine is pristine over here." I don't need a timeline cleanse because mine is clean 💅🏾

In going through the replies, it's clear a lot of people truly do not understand how to use mute words, mute account, and/or block account.

Also, if you are triggered by everyday life, I recommend staying out of the discover tab. 🤷‍♀️

(don't send hate to this user or the people in the replies)
I don't know what Bluesky thinks "show less like this" means, but it doesn't show less like that.

Rahaeli is not exaggerating here at all! I was getting replies to months old posts about a *current* post and could not figure out what they were doing.

They were looking for an open post so that they could give me a reply.

Please touch grass. PLEASE.
And yeah, what Krista said: people will follow me just to demand why I have posts set to followers only, comb through my replies tab looking for places where I replied to an OP who doesn't reply-gate (thus hassling both me AND the OP), make a top level post of their own and tag me, etc etc.

Just 50 hours to go on this!

If we hit 105 backers, my dogs will get peanut butter pancake sandwiches.

Would you deny Luna and Jersey snacks?

@craigschaeferbooks.com I just finished The locust Job, and I swear Daniel can't do anything without making everything fifteen times worse.

It's his gift.

*tapping the sign for the second time today, despite how I have barely been on bluesky today*
I want to show you this because several of you have, frankly, used a very "welcome to your first day on Earth" tone with me to tell me to simply limit who replies to my posts.

This is what happens when I limit my replies.

I'm including Bree's reply simply because she sums up the issue perfectly.

IF SOMEONE HAS THEIR REPLIES TURNED OFF DO NOT TAG OR DM THEM WITH YOUR REPLY

Even if you are doing it to compliment them!

THEY TURNED THEM OFF FOR A REASON.

I would probably be more comfortable telling people to go die in a fire more often than I currently do 🤷‍♀️
Hey artist/creator/writer/etc people: if tomorrow you were guaranteed a very comfortable living the rest of your life, how would that affect your relationship to social media?

I REMEMBER WHEN THIS HAPPENED
I have a reddit account & my entire history is arguing with a man who was misinterpreting one of my tweets on r/fantasy 8 years ago, and going over there yesterday to agree that the droid in @mikechenwriter.bsky.social's book is too hot.

I feel like this is a good use of reddit, A+ me.
