It is honestly hilarious to watch all these high-dollar professionals wring their hands over something that literally does not matter even a little. It’s James Bond. He’s been nine different middle-aged dudes for 70 years with no explanation. No one is asking for one now and no one cares.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Nunsense continues. This one actually has two pages, but the joke gets across with one. One of my biggest pet peeves in these sort of movies has been the upside down cross: The symbol of humility. Yes. Super scary.

Looking forward to hearing how the book is. 👀

To Courtney's point, it's hella important that you look up your state's policies. For example, in CA, you can vote in primaries for any party regardless of affiliation EXCEPT presidential which is either closed or modified-closed. Before you switch, make sure you can still vote.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

Talked about the prospect of another pipeline and Carney's recent comments on my Monday political panel.

As I said, the biggest impediment isn't regulations or even Indigenous opposition but the lack of a viable business case.

Danielle Smith’s pipeline still doesn’t have a business case
The biggest obstacle standing in the way of another pipeline to the West Coast isn't the tanker ban or federal climate policies. It's oil prices and the nature of the businesses that rely on them for ...

Actually…

One century ago, standard, mid-range, catalog shoes went for 2025 $30-50 per pair, were repairable (glued soles hadn’t become common yet), were made of leather, would last for several years and could be Ship of Theseus’ed on soles, fasteners and heels.

They were better shoes for less.

Relating to Galactus at 42: I am from an unrecognizable previous millennium, hungry all the time, everything hurts and I live with a tiny person who won’t do what I ask.

I worked harder on this book than any before it. My ex-publisher then failed to pay me what they owed me for it & did their best to ruin its chances of survival. That robbed me of a year of my life & ruined my health.

After all that, to see reviews like this one brings me close to tears too.
Bloody hell! It’s been a long time since a book has brought me to tears. @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social Thank you so very much for writing Everything Will Swallow You. Book of the year. #BookSky #TheStorygraph

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

YES.

‘Will I die?’

YES.

Granny Weatherwax thought this over. ‘But from your point of view, everyone is dying and everyone will die, right?’
