This generic acetaminophen had an Amtrak ACS-64, four Amfleet 1 cars, a Conrail EMD GP15-1, and some Conrail rolling stock in it. The problem is more serious than I thought.

Starmer has the worst political instincts of any party leader in history. His entire strategy is trying to appease a bunch of people who already decided years ago they hated him. Meanwhile he's pissing off everybody who tolerated him.

The Trump regime is about to burn 500 tons of USAID emergency food. Why?
Because it expired after its shipment was delayed.

1.5 million children could have eaten for a week. Now, taxpayers will spend $130K for it to be destroyed.

This isn’t just inefficient – it’s cruel.

never forget this and vote accordingly when the time comes.
Gavin Newsom used the 1st episode of his new podcast to torpedo his viability as a 2028 presidential candidate.

Having Kirk on to talk about trans rights is like interviewing Andrew Tate about sex trafficking.

Newsom didn’t even try to push back when Kirk started calling trans women "young men".
1. This morning, California Governor said he was in "complete alignment" with anti-LGBTQ+ hate-influencer Charlie Kirk of TPUSA on transgender sports.

He also conceded on trans inmates and gender affirming care for youth.

It's so much worse than being reported.

Here's the thing lads. The police, as a rule, just arent the sorts of folk who tend to err on the side of caution, and that's me being very nice. If you give them an inch of further ground on which it is possible to arrest people they will take a mile, just as a rule.
Police in Canterbury today informed a protestor that the phrase "Israel is committing genocide in Gaza" could be considered a declaration of support for Palestine Action and therefore a terrorism offence.

You proscribe one group called Palestine Action, in the eyes of these folks you just proscribed anyone who thinks that regarding Palestine, we should take action. It is abuse of power. And it is also hardcoded to how they operate.

After almost 2 years of refusing to use the word “genocide” The NY Times publishes this now that the slaughter of Gaza is in its final stages.

Get ready for loads of revisionist history from Corp News on the Gaza genocide just like with the invasion of Iraq.

And coming soon, the climate emergency.

Capital demands that:
1. The government must strip away sensible rules which prevent businesses from attacking the public good.
2. The government must constrain *itself* with insanely restrictive pledges, such as Rachel Reeves's fiscal rules.
3. Protesters challenging capital must be locked up.

Cutting "red tape" (aka public protections), as Reeves is doing, does not save money. Instead, it transfers costs from the rich to the poor. Other people pay for financial recklessness, filthy rivers, air pollution, lax building standards and consumer rip-offs.

It's actually kind of dark how Labour's pitch to the progressive left is increasingly "you have no other choice." Okay, leaving aside whether that's true or not: do you really expect a huge bloc of people to be okay with never getting to influence the direction of the country?
The time will come when Starmer will be so desperate, he'll say we have to vote for him or get Farage. He'll even throw us a few crumbs of decent policy.

The problem is most of us despise him as much as we despise Farage, just in different ways. There's nothing he could say to me to get my vote.

one thing that is important to emphasize at that this is just republican governance at work! this is what happens when you give republicans power in washington!
Final vote. 50-50. VP breaks the tie.

One single GOP Senator could have stopped this abomination. Saved millions of parents from watching their child go hungry. Saved the lives destroyed when Medicaid disappears.

They will all live forever with the horror of this bill.

Depressed myself reading the Guardian long read on “woke”, partly because it makes it obvious that any progressive idea that gets broad support will face a powerful and well-funded backlash that’s happy to make shit up. Partly because the writer essentially blames progressives for that
